This piece focuses on how to position yourself as an expert in your field and sell more copies of your book on this topic. When you read it, you may say, \u201cWow! This is the same stuff Patricia tells us to do when we\u2019re promoting a book.\u201d Yup! There\u2019s no way to get around it. If you hope to become successful as a writer or author and\/or if you dream of becoming an expert in your field, the processes are the same. It takes tons of exposure, which boils down to an incredible amount of time, energy, work and creativity.<\/p>\n

How is your writing business doing this quarter? Are book sales up this month? Things are getting busier here in my office, lately. I am thankful. I have to admit that I am always busy. There is always something to do, even if it is filing (you ought to see my overflowing inbox\u2014it\u2019s disgraceful), trying out new promotional techniques, coming up with new article ideas, recycling articles, catching up on bookwork, seeking out speaking\/workshop venues and so forth. But some activities don\u2019t compute into earnings\u2014at least not right away.<\/p>\n
