We\u2019re up to around two dozen reviews of my new book, Promote Your Book, Over 250 Proven, Low-Cost Tips and Techniques for the Enterprising Author<\/em>. Seventeen of them (at last count) are at Amazon.com. Check out the book page at http:\/\/amzn.to\/oe56Ia<\/a> <\/p>\n

If you have a book in the works or are struggling to promote one, this is the book for you. Not only is it brimming with book promotion ideas, you\u2019ll find numerous resources to use and that will lead you to even more possibilities and opportunities. <\/p>\n

Of course, you can\u2019t do everything I\u2019ve included in the book. But you can locate those ideas that work best for you and your book. You will learn more about why the author has to promote his or her own book and the basics of how to go about it. You can keep this book at your elbow to use when you are ready to add a new promotional activity or when you need a new resource or want a greater understanding of a particular activity, for example.<\/p>\n

Still no Kindle. I don\u2019t know when the book will go on Kindle. I am told by the publisher that it is in the queue. What does that mean? That it could go live tomorrow? A year from now? <\/p>\n

I took time off yesterday\u2014but not because I wanted to. I woke up very ill and just could not function. So I didn\u2019t. That\u2019s why there was no blog posting yesterday. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s getting a lot of press, that\u2019s for sure. But I have no idea how many books have sold. That\u2019s one of the differences between self-publishing and going with a traditional publisher. When I am the publisher, I know about every sale made as it is made through Amazon, bookstores, individuals, etc. Although, I have the book for sale at my website, I am not advertising that fact too much right now. I\u2019ve been advised to send customers to Amazon at this point and Amazon is ordering books from the publisher not from me. I will not have an accounting of books sold until my first royalty statement.<\/p>\n

While I am pretty much out of the loop when it comes to book sales, I am certainly integral\/essential in marketing the book. I continue to promote every day in some way. I am holding back some, however, until the book is on Kindle, Nook, etc. <\/p>\n
