Yesterday a friend and colleague invited me to her brand new blog site. (If you like kitty cats, you\u2019ll want to check it out at: http:\/\/www.thekittycorner.typepad.com<\/a>.) I told her how much I love the look and the information she\u2019s presenting and she asked, \u201cNow how do I get it out there so people know it exists?\u201d I thought you might be interested in what I suggested: <\/p>\n

\u2022\tAdd your blog link to business cards, brochures, etc<\/p>\n

\u2022\tSubmit more articles to appropriate online and print magazines\/ezines and include your blog in your bio.<\/p>\n

\u2022\tSign up for Google Alerts, and use keywords such as “cats,” “birthing cats,” “British shorthair,” “raising kittens…” etc., you will be alerted every morning to articles and blogs that are discussing those things that day. <\/p>\n

\u2022\tSeek out other cat-related blogs on your own, leave comments and give your blog link. <\/p>\n

\u2022\tSign up for twitter and tweet every time you put up a new post. <\/p>\n

\u2022\tOffer to be guest columnist at other pertinent blogs. <\/p>\n

\u2022\tInvite other experts to be guest blogger at your site.<\/p>\n

\u2022\tAnnounce your blog to the Cat Writer\u2019s Association online discussion group. (We both belong to this organization.)<\/p>\n

\u2022\tVisit other cat-related (or pet-related) boards or discussion groups.<\/p>\n

\u2022\tDoes Cat Fancy have a blog site? Comment there.<\/p>\n
