It\u2019s probably safe to say that every one of us is living where wild animals once roamed, and we\u2019ve managed to kill off some species. Here, it is the bald eagle (and other birds of prey) and the grizzly bear. The grizzly never had a chance, but we have been successful in reviving the eagles\u2014to a point, anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Lately, animals that have lived hidden away in the<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1531\" src=\"https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/ExoticCatSanctuary-239-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/ExoticCatSanctuary-239-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/ExoticCatSanctuary-239.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> wilderness are coming closer and closer to civilization. They might have been taking shortcuts through neighborhoods for years without us knowing it\u2014except for a very occasional sighting. But now we are aware that large wild animals are coming close and they\u2019re causing trouble and concern.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re wild animals, after all\u2014doing what they\u2019ve done for centuries\u2014whatever they can to stay alive and well-fed.<\/p>\n<p>Today I\u2019m sharing some of my fun and fascinating wild life photos of cats in captivity. Yeah, it\u2019s sad to see them behind bars.
