\"\"I\u2019ve never been particularly interested in famous quotes or phrases until the advent of the internet. Growing up, I didn\u2019t read poetry or pick up a book of quotes. I must say that I am a fan of the clich\u00e9, however. You\u2019ll notice this in my writings. And I\u2019ve come to appreciate interesting ways with words, thought-provoking quotes, and quotes related to cats. Here are a few I\u2019ve come across recently:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf a dog jumps in your lap it\u2019s because he\u2019s fond of \"\"you; if a cat jumps in your lap it\u2019s because it\u2019s warmer.\u201d Now that quote goes back to the early 1900s<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s one for all of my writer friends out there: \u201cCat\u2019s are dangerous companions for writers because cat-watching is a near perfect method of writing avoidance.\u201d This quoted by Dan Greenberg, author of over 70 books.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cSome men are born to cats, others have cats thrust upon them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLetting a cat out of a bag is a whole lot easier than putting it back.\u201d Good old Will Rogers<\/p>\n

“A cat can purr its way out of anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lillian Jackson Braun of the Cat Who<\/em> series said, \u201cCats never strike a pose that isn\u2019t photogenic.\u201d<\/p>\n

And what about Sylvester\u2014yeah his was among some of the greatest cat (or tat) quotes: \u201cI tawt I taw a puddy tat.\u201d<\/p>\n

And let\u2019s not forget Mark Twain. Here\u2019s one of his and it has become one of my favorites: \u201cWhat greater gift than the love of a cat?\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
