The cat hears you speaking on the phone and she believes you\u2019re talking to her, so she responds in her own language and in her own way, usually making it \"\"impossible for you to make a note or even to concentrate on the call.<\/p>\n

A cat might see you organizing or stacking papers or other items and is \"\"sure you need her help\u2014oh my! And don\u2019t try to do any sewing or needlework with a cat in the room\u2014that is unless you want a whole lot of help<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A dutiful (and playful) cat will help you in the kitchen\u2014\"\"just be careful he has come out of the refrigerator before you close the door. Watch what falls to the floor. You don\u2019t want your helpful cat to eat a piece of garlic or onion or chocolate.<\/p>\n

Here are a few other tasks cats enjoy helping out with\u2014changing\/making the bed, waxing the floor (some of them like to leave their tracks in the wet wax just for fun), dusting, folding the laundry, organizing your tax papers, writing Christmas cards.
