I already did a rewrite\u2014actually two of them\u2014on Book One. I revised <strong><em>Catnapped<\/em><\/strong> and we reformatted the print book when we produced the audio book. Several of the earlier print books also need reformatting, and I think they need revising. I\u2019ve learned a lot about fiction-writing these last eight years\u2014I\u2019ve established my style and I\u2019d like to eventually rewrite and reformat all the earliest books in the series to conform.<\/p>\n<p>You might wonder if this is a boring task or if I enjoy <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2020\" src=\"https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/LilyBooks1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/LilyBooks1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/LilyBooks1-375x500.jpg 375w, https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/LilyBooks1.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>the process. Actually, while I yearn to create new stories, I find joy in the revision work too. First, I\u2019m in awe of the depth and creativity in the early stories\u2014in all of my stories. I\u2019ve always felt and still do that it isn\u2019t actually me at the computer typing out these plots. I sure don\u2019t want to say or believe in any way that these stories are channeled from the spirit world\u2014I can\u2019t give what I do that much reverence, but it sure feels-seems as though the material I write is coming to and through me\u2014not from me. I wonder if other writers have the same experience.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, watch for Book 41\u2014<strong><em>Cats of a Feather<\/em><\/strong>\u2014probably sometime next month. And I\u2019ll keep you posted as to the progress on the rewriting in case you want to update your library. I\u2019m pretty sure you\u2019d enjoy rereading all of my books because I can tell you, even as the writer, I sure am enjoying the stories and I\u2019ve read them many, many more times than you have.<\/p>\n<p>Update: the print version of <em><strong>Cat-Eye Witness<\/strong> <\/em>has been revised and reformatted. We are working on the Kindle version as we speak.
