Oh, I snap a lot of pictures of them, as you know. I share many of them here. But we usually do photography on <em>their<\/em> terms. They pose and I snap a picture.<\/p>\n<p>This week I wanted certain, specific shots and do you think they would cooperate? No! All I wanted was a shot of one of the cats behind the camera. Is that asking too much?<\/p>\n<p>I got photos of them under the camera, in front of the camera, walking away from the <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3233\" src=\"https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_4514-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_4514-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_4514-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_4514-500x333.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>camera, hiding behind the camera\u2026<\/p>\n<p>I tried some of the techniques I\u2019ve read about with only minor success. I\u2019m sure they knew what I wanted and that\u2019s why they were doing the opposite. That\u2019s my experience photographing cats.<\/p>\n<p>Finally\u2014finally, I got my shot\u2014well sorta. I hope you\u2019ve enjoyed the cat photography topic we\u2019ve focused on this week. As you can tell by the nature of this blog and the pictures I use that cats are among my favorite subjects.
