In days past, when fleas were still a huge problem in California, I used to have my long-haired calico bathed, flea-dipped, and I\u2019d have her belly shaved because that\u2019s where she collected mats. You couldn\u2019t even tell she\u2019d been shaved because of her luxurious fur coat on top. And she was comfortable and mat-free all summer.<\/p>\n
