I think it\u2019s because not everyone is familiar with the cozy mystery genre, which is light reading for adults. Cozy mysteries are recognized by their, sometimes, whimsical and generally cute and the fun covers that look, to some, like child\u2019s play. Cozy mysteries might feature cats, horses, quilting, a library setting, cupcakes, an antique store\u2026you name it. They\u2019re sort of Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys revved up just enough for adults.<\/p>\n<p>When a parent asks me if my books are for children, I tell them I write with adults in mind\u2014for adults, but I keep it light for a more enjoyable, relaxing read. I read that book with my children, my grandchildren, and I believe it\u2019s in my great-grandchildren\u2019s libraries as well. Are you familiar with <em>Pete the Cat<\/em>? There are a whole series of books and gift sets featuring Pete for early readers.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also a cute series by George Selden.
