I love reading quotes about cats. I marvel at the words and phrases people come up with to describe the cat\u2014some of them capturing the very essence so eloquently. Some quotes are serious poetry, others are hilarious, and most cause a knowing nod.<\/p>\n
For example, Leo Dworken said, \u201cNo amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.\u201d So true and well-said. Who can\u2019t resonate with that quote?<\/p>\n
Charlotte Gray wrote, \u201cAfter scolding one\u2019s cat, one looks into its face and is seized by the ugly suspicion that it understood every word. And has filed it for reference.\u201d<\/p>\n
Someone named R. Stern said something rather interesting: \u201cIf only cats grew into kittens.\u201d<\/p>\n
How about Joseph Wood Krutch\u2019es observation: \u201cCats are rather delicate creatures and they are subject to a good many different ailments, but I have never heard of one who suffered from insomnia.\u201d<\/p>\n
Helen Thomson must have cats. She said, \u201cOne is never sure, watching two cats washing each other, whether it\u2019s affection, the taste, or a trial run for the jugular.\u201d<\/p>\n
All of these quotes came from my2017 Cat-a-Day calendar that I treasure. Not only do I have cats roaming in and out of my office, I get to meet a new cat or kitten each day when I turn my little calendar.<\/p>\n
