But I do enjoy seeing neighborhood cats out and about. Here are a few who grace our neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>George is a tangerine-colored female Maine <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1413\" src=\"http:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/JoyIMG_1828-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"JoyIMG_1828\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/JoyIMG_1828-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/JoyIMG_1828-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/JoyIMG_1828-500x500.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.matilijapress.com\/catscapades\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/JoyIMG_1828.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>coon cat from New York. From what I hear, she handled the road trip to her new home in California with grace and confidence. She was an inside-outside kitty, who was ultimately banned from the house because she wouldn\u2019t stop eating plastic. She cost her family plenty in vet bills (they found a large piece of a toy in her intestines once) and in replacement wiring and hook-ups for their electronics.
